Hey ladies and gentlemen! I'm proud to say that I sponsor the Westover Area Volunteer Fire Company. We are all volunteer and a non-profit organization. Being A Firefighter is tough and strenuous work. But there are many obstacles to overcome in the fire service you have Line-Of-Duty Deaths (LODD), Injuries, Training, and your own physical and mental fitness. Training consist of 180 boring but fun hours. In those 180 hours you learn the history of the fire service, fireground operations, exterior firefighting,and interior firefighting. Good post. The training can be boring, but it's worth it. Good luck with your training and becoming a fire fighter.
